They are used to seal pipes and function similarly to pipe plugs. They share similar functions with blind plates, but the difference is that blind plates are removable, while pipe caps are welded to the pipe and cannot be removed. Pipe caps include convex caps, conical shells, reducers, flat caps, and constricted ends.
